Some of you may know that I was laid off from my day job recently, but what you don’t know is that I’ve been scheming. As I find my path forward, I want to turn this negative into a positive, and I can’t wait to share my next step with you all, because I know it will make a positive impact in a big way.
Rainbow Reads is expanding. I will be opening a brick-and-mortar bookstore in my home, Saint Louis! This is a dream I’ve had for nearly a decade now, and I can’t think of a better time to make it a reality. I envision Rainbow Reads as a place where every child can find stories that resonate with their lives and identities. In a time when books are being challenged and banned from schools and libraries, I hope to ensure that every child in our city has access to diverse and inclusive literature.
